Istanbul Shopping Fest Excitement Started with a Show on the Bosphorus
Istanbul ShoppingFest2014 kicked off with an unforgettable party that surprised both Istanbulites and guests visiting Istanbul. On the opening night, the WaterRocket group performed in front of the Istanbul décor and gave a visual feast to the audience.
Istanbul ShoppingFest (ISF), which is rapidly becoming one of the brand values of Istanbul and offers discount opportunities in the city on the dates it is organized, hosted surprise events at the opening party of its fourth year.The opening of the festival, which will be held between June 7-29, 2014, started on the night of June 6 with events held in Ortaköy Square and House Cafe.
Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) President & ISF Chief Executive Officer İbrahim Çağlar hosted the event at House Cafe, which was attended by Nevzat Kütük, General Manager of Kültür A.Ş., Hüseyin Doğan, President of United Brands Association, Mehmet Büyükekşi, President of Turkish Exporters Association, Yılmaz Yılmaz Yılmaz, Member of Istanbul ShoppingFest Board of Directors, Sinan Öncel, Member of Istanbul ShoppingFest Board of Directors and many important names from the business world. İbrahim Çağlar, President of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) & Chairman of ISF Executive Board, stated in his speech that he invited everyone to experience the festival enthusiasm; "We want the excitement of Istanbul ShoppingFest to be felt not only in shopping malls but also in all layers of the city. For this reason, all non-governmental organizations and associations have also taken action for the festival, of which Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Mr. Kadir Topbaş is the platform chairman."
THEY MADE A SHOW BY RISING 12 METERS IN THE STRAIT
The surprise of the night was the WaterRocket group, which astonished the audience with their show on the Bosphorus and gave a visual show. The group, which came to Turkey for the first time for Istanbul ShoppingFest and included world champions, presented a visual feast to the audience with their light show in the waters of the Bosphorus. The group exhibited the extreme sport TheFlyBoard, which is a combination of wakeboarding, surfing, kite-surfing and jet-skiing, in the cool waters of the Bosphorus and excited the audience from time to time. WaterRocket, who appeared before Istanbulites with this sport, which is also practiced by celebrities such as Leonardo Dicaprio and TomCruise, rose up to 12 meters in the sky. WaterRocket members said that they were very impressed by the mesmerizing view of the Bosphorus.
DJ PARTY IN ORTAKOY SQUARE
Toy Brigade, Ensbatucada and Power FM DJs from France entertained hundreds of people with their performances on the stage set up in Ortaköy Square. The fun street party continued until 22:00.
The spirit of Istanbul ShoppingFest will envelop the important shopping streets of Istanbul as well as the shopping centers in the coming days. 23 days of street festivals, concerts, shows, special games for children, parties, competitions and fashion shows will increase the tempo of entertainment in the city. The events, which will be combined with the historical texture of Istanbul, will create a storm of excitement for local and foreign tourists as well as Istanbulites.

23 SHOPPING MALLS PARTICIPATING IN THE FESTIVAL
The gold participating shopping malls of the festival will be 212 Istanbul PowerOutlet, İstinyePark, Kanyon and Zorlu Center. Mall Of Istanbul, where the opening party will be held, and Vialand, which will host the closing party, will open their doors to their guests with silver participation for the festival.
