The legendary fabric fair PremièreVision is now in Istanbul...
The intersection point of Middle Eastern and Eastern European fashion, PremièreVision Istanbul will open its doors in October. On April 15th, a large number of guests attended the launch at The Sofa Hotel. OTİAD was represented by President Ali Ulvi Orhan, Vice Presidents İlker Karataş and Hikmet Ünal at the night where the fashion world met.
Since 1973, PremièreVision, which organizes the world's most important fabric fair in Paris and is one of the favorite fairs for Turkish textile and ready-to-wear brands to have an idea about the next season trends, will now be held twice a year in Istanbul. PremièreVision Istanbul will be held for the first time on October 29-30-31 at CNR Expo Center.
Approximately 150 companies and 5 thousand professional visitors are expected to participate in the first PremièreVision Fair to be organized in Istanbul. Istanbul is the 4th stop in the international expansion of PremièreVision Fairs after New York, Sao Paulo and Shanghai. Speaking at the launch, Philippe Pasquet, CEO of PremièreVision SA, explained that the most important reason for choosing Istanbul as a PremièreVision location is that Istanbul is a real center of attraction and creativity with its physical location between Europe and Asia and its position in the fashion world.
16 percent growth by 2017
Noting that Turkey stands out not only as a producer of raw materials and intermediate products, but also with its vertical integrations in textile and ready-to-wear, domestic brands and specialization in this sector, Pasquet said that Turkish ready-to-wear brands, which also have widespread distribution and store chains, are growing with confident steps both in neighboring countries and in more distant geographies.
Philippe Pasquet also stated that the Turkish textile and ready-to-wear sector has drawn a very dynamic profile as an exhibitor and visitor in all PremièreVision Fairs so far, and expressed his satisfaction that Turkey ranks 3rd among the countries presenting products at the fairs and is among the top 10 in terms of visitor density.
OTİAD was represented by President Ali Ulvi Orhan, Vice Presidents İlker Karataş and Hikmet Ünal at the night where the fashion world met hosted by CNR Holding Chairman Ceyda Erem.
