Osmanbey Textile Businessmen Association (OTİAD) President İlker Karataş and the accompanying delegation visited İHKİB President Hikmet Tanrıverdi, İTHİB President İsmail Gülle and İTKİB Secretary General Bekir Aslaner in their offices.

 The OTİAD delegation asked for support from Hikmet Tanrıverdi, President of İHKİB and İsmail Gülle, President of İTHİB regarding the communiqué on "Prevention of Unfair Competition in Imports" numbered 2015/7 and the introduction of a procurement delegation simultaneously with the Fashionist Fair to be held in January 2016. During the meetings where current developments were also evaluated, President İlker Karataş mentioned the success of Fashionist Fair in the sector and asked Hikmet Tanrıverdi, President of İHKİB and İsmail Gülle, President of İTHİB to increase this support. Karataş, who provided an update on the work carried out on the procurement delegation to be brought to the fair, stated that they want to host a procurement delegation of 750 people this year and said, "With this work, we want to enrich and grow the fair even more."


 "170 cm and below solves the problem"

 Another issue for which support was requested during the meeting was related to the antidumping communiqué. President Karataş, by giving examples through the fabrics he brought with him; "Although we have partially solved the problem of our importer companies, which are the raw material suppliers of the ready-to-wear sector in Osmanbey during the 5-year period, since the limit of 150 cm, which was determined as the exemption limit, was not determined with a margin in good faith under the conditions of that day, in the import of products within this scope; He said that there are often problems due to reasons arising from the intolerant approach of customs administrations in inspection and controls. President Karataş said, "As a result of the comprehensive serious examination and evaluation they made before the supplier-importer companies operating in Osmanbey regarding this important problem; For the justified applications of home textile industrialists, the correction of the exemption limit as 170 cm and below fabrics in the exemption of embroidered fabrics in fabrics with a width of 150 cm and below will solve the problem to a great extent."

 Hikmet Tanrıverdi, President of İHKİB, and İsmail Gülle, President of İTHİB, said that they would take the necessary action on both issues.

 The OTİAD delegation also visited the newly appointed Secretary General of ITKIB, Bekir Aslaner, in his office and wished him success in his duty and wished him well.
