The Assembly Members of ITO belonging to 81 different professions came together at the Chamber's Emin\u00f6n\u00fc Headquarters on April 14 to elect the new Board of Directors; according to the results of the election, \u015eekib Avdagi\u00e7 became the 24th Chairman of the Board of Directors of ITO, which has a long history of 136 years. The new board of directors of ITO under the chairmanship of Avdagi\u00e7 consisted of the following names: \u015eekib Avdagi\u00e7, \u0130srafil Kuralay, Servet Samsama, \u0130brahim Do\u011fan Salman, Dursun Top\u00e7u, Ahmet \u00d6zer, Yakup K\u00f6\u00e7, Burhan Polat, Levent Ta\u015f, Bahad\u0131r Ya\u015f\u0131k, Adil Co\u015fkun.<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\nA Guarantee for Turkey's Bright Future<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u015eekib Avdagi\u00e7, the new President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, said in his speech to the Assembly Members after the announcement of the election results, \"A brand new road lies ahead of us. Our projects that will strengthen the strength of our 400 thousand members will be a strong guarantee for the bright future of Turkey under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan. Our point-shot projects that will play a key role in growth are ready. We do not have an hour to lose.\" Avdagi\u00e7 thanked all institutions, non-governmental organizations and sector representatives, especially the members of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, who fully supported the nomination process with a great consensus. Avdagi\u00e7 said, \"Many of our friends have been with us at this point, supported us, and put their hands under the stone. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all of them.\"\n\n The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce is one of the five largest chambers in the world by number of members. ITO represents 1 out of every 4 companies in Turkey on average. \u015eekip Avdagi\u00e7 was born in 1959 in Zenica, Bosnia-Herzegovina. He graduated from ITU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. He completed his specialization program at Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration. Since 2005, he has worked as a manager at various levels at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.
