At the meeting held at the headquarters of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, the economic problems in neighboring countries, especially Russia, and the reflections of the increase in the dollar exchange rate on the sector were discussed. \u0130rfan \u00d6zhamaratl\u0131, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ISO, pointed out the necessity of taking the situation in the sector seriously. \u00d6zhamaratl\u0131 pointed out that industrialists, especially those exporting to Russia, are facing serious problems and said, \"We should look for a solution both as non-governmental organizations and public institutions.\" Ali Ulvi Orhan, Treasurer Member of the ISO Board of Directors, said that they will have the opportunity to listen to the problems from the representatives of the sectoral organizations at this meeting and emphasized that they will try to find solutions to these problems together.\n\n There are also promising developments\n\n The speakers said that the contraction caused by Russia had a negative impact on the sector and that many alternatives, especially trade in rubles, should be considered. Participants pointed out that the problems experienced in their own sectors were also reflected in other sectors. Guests stated that ways of exporting to alternative countries should be sought.
