U\u011fur Uysal, President of Istanbul Carpet Exporters' Association (\u0130H\u0130B), who pointed out that they provide 2 billion dollars of foreign currency inflow annually, 500 million dollars of which is through direct exports and 1.5 billion dollars through touristic sales, said that they can become a world leader with the driving force of design and branding if the bureaucracy does not hinder them. Celaleddin Vardarsuyu, the owner of Bereket Hal\u0131, was deemed worthy of the IHIB Carpet Manufacturer of the Year Award, which was given for the first time this year.
