On April 27, the world's largest Garment Machinery Fair opened its doors at Tüyap Convention and Exhibition Center. Until April 30, the fair will continue until April 30, and the products of garment machines, embroidery machines and machinery sub-industries met with visitors.

Garment Machinery Fair is being organized for the 25th time this year. Organized in 1986 at Tüyap Istanbul Exhibition Center with the participation of 18 companies, the fair today hosts the participation of 435 companies and company representatives from 29 countries. In this 98 thousand square meter exhibition area, the latest innovations in sewing, embroidery, laying-cutting machines, irons and presses, cad-cam systems are exhibited. Over 40 thousand local and foreign sector representatives are expected to visit the fair. The Garment Machinery Fair has become one of the biggest and most important fairs not only in Turkey but also in the world. Tüyap Chairman Bülent Ünal, OTİAD Chairman İlker Karataş, TRİSAD Chairman Mustafa Balkuv and sector representatives cut the opening ribbon together. The delegation then visited the exhibition stands and received information from the participating companies.

2016's Biggest Fair in its Field
Tüyap Chairman Bülent Ünal gave the following information about the fair: "This is the 25th Garment Machinery Fair in 37 years. In the beginning, the fair was held every year and then every two years. The biggest feature of 2016 is that it is the biggest fair of this year in the world in terms of garment machinery. There are 435 companies from 29 countries. From America to China, from Japan to Japan, from all the countries of the Far East, it is a fair where all the companies and brands that have taken a distance in garment production and make production are present. Our expectation is 40 thousand visitors. 40 thousand visitors are visitors from 70 countries. These are mainly the neighboring countries around Turkey, starting from the Balkans and extending to Ukraine, Russia, the Caucasus, North Africa and Central Asia, where ready-to-wear clothing has started to take shape or is presented differently."

Pointing out that apparel is one of the businesses that Turkey will not give up, President Ünal said, "One of the main reasons for this is that it is a sector that employs many women workers. Every 2 years there are serious breakthroughs in the apparel industry. This fair provides a demonstration to compete with the renewed technology. We can see these technologies in their entirety at this fair. There is everything you need to establish a new facility. It is the only place where you can find new technologies when you want to renew your facilities. For this year, it is the only place in the world where we can see these technologies."

Emphasizing that fairs have a very important role in paving the way for Turkey's exports, President Ünal said, "If there have been around 60 thousand exporter institutions in Turkey to date, a large part of these have been realized through fairs that were prepared correctly and provided the right service to visitors. For this reason, I think it will be useful for today and for the future for companies to choose and participate in the fairs that are right for them."
