Resolution of Legal Disputes through "Mediation"
Within the scope of the projects produced to reduce the workload on the Turkish judicial system; "Mediation" method, which is one of the alternative dispute resolution methods, seems to come to the rescue of our Justice system installed in Turkey.
In general terms, "Mediation" is an alternative dispute method that has emerged as an alternative to the protracted and costly litigation process and is applied in 160 countries around the world.
Law No. 6325 on Mediation in Civil Disputes, which entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated 22 June 2012 and numbered 28331 (as of 22 June 2013), regulates how and in what manner the parties can reconcile their legal disputes in front of an independent person called a mediator without going to the judiciary or arbitration.
In addition to providing information about the law in question, Lawyer M.Tufan Uz and Lawyer Nafiye Diker, who are also the Official Mediators of UZ&ER Law Firm, attended our OTİAD Board of Directors meeting on 24.02.2016 and gave a briefing on the details of the application.
