"Get Well Soon" Visit to OTİAD from ITHIB President İsmail Gülle
Paying a "get well soon" visit to OTİAD, ITHIB President İsmail Gülle stated that they have always stood by OTİAD, which was closed for four months after the July 15 coup, and that they vouch for OTİAD on every platform.
Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association (ITHIB) President İsmail Gülle and his delegation paid a "get well soon" visit to OTİAD. After the July 15 coup attempt, ITHIB President Gülle met with İlker Karataş, President of Osmanbey Textile Businessmen's Association (OTİAD), which was closed "by mistake" within the scope of the State of Emergency (OHAL), and members of the Board of Directors at breakfast and said, "I convey my get well soon wishes to this distinguished association for facing such an accusation. We knew that the truth would come out sooner or later, and it did. While we textile manufacturers have much bigger problems, the fact that such incidents happen to us makes us sad, of course. I believe that this event will further strengthen OTİAD and I am confident that your work will continue successfully."
OTIAD Continues Its Activities From Where It Left Off
OTİAD Chairman İlker Karataş and members of the board of directors welcomed İsmail Gülle and informed him about the process and exchanged views. President Karataş said, "We firmly believed that OTİAD, which has been focusing only on the development of Osmanbey's trade opportunities without going beyond the purpose stated in its charter since its establishment in 1999, would be cleared as a result of the examinations and investigations and would continue its activities from where it left off... OTİAD, which has shown maximum sensitivity and effort to keep itself out of politically based activities until today, has never entered the sphere of influence of any will or group" and expressed his thanks to ITHIB for standing by OTİAD and supporting it in this process.
During the visit where Turkey's issues and solution proposals, the situation of the sector and the developments in the economy were discussed, the common opinion of both presidents was "As the business world, we will continue to continue our work with confidence in the future of our country".
