The Problem of Paper Collectors Will Be Solved This Time!
OTİAD Management, under the chairmanship of İlker Karataş, met with Şişli District Governor Salih Işık to discuss the "paper collectors problem" in Osmanbey. Şişli Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Manager Dr. Esra Bozyazı Daylan and Şişli Deputy Police Chief Burak Bal were also present at the meeting.
The OTİAD delegation met with Şişli District Governor Salih Işık to discuss the problem of paper collectors in Osmanbey for years and made a detailed presentation to the officials attending the meeting. President İlker Karataş stated that the problem experienced for years does not suit Osmanbey and said that the problems experienced must be overcome to create a safe Osmanbey. President Karataş said, "We had previously conveyed the problem of paper collectors in Osmanbey in our various meetings. Unfortunately, the problem of paper collectors continues and the inconvenience they cause is growing day by day. We want Osmanbey to be a safe center where our guests can shop comfortably. We are making a great effort for this. Because we dream of an Osmanbey where life and shopping continue until late hours. As a fashion center in the center of Istanbul with its growing number of hotels, proximity to shopping malls and as a fashion center in the center of Istanbul, we think that the inappropriate actions of paper collectors after 6-7 pm harm us all. Therefore, we believe that we can solve this problem by joining hands with the authorities gathered around this table today."
Problems were discussed one by one
Vice President Kutbettin Ayyıldız, Board Members Tahir Duman, Mustafa Türk and OTİAD member Mehmet Aytek also expressed their views on the solution and underlined that the problem should be solved as soon as possible. Municipality officials also emphasized the seriousness of the problem and asked the Şişli Police Department to help them, stressing that the paper collectors had made the situation so serious that they attacked the police officers. District Governor Salih Işık, who listened to the parties after the meeting, summarized the views on the solution under the following headings: "First of all, we need to ensure that Osmanbey shopkeepers do not take out their garbage before 19.00. Those who do will be warned by the police, and those who ignore the warnings will be fined if necessary. Police teams will also assist the police until the problem is solved. Especially workshops will be prevented from throwing fabric scraps on the streets and they will be given to collectors. Each institution will fulfill its part and the problem will be solved as soon as possible."
In the meeting, the lighting problem of the streets, the installation of MOBESE in the streets without MOBESE and cleaning problems were also discussed in detail and it was decided to do the necessary. It was decided to come together from time to time until the issue is resolved.
